Editorial Policy

Last updated: May 8, 2026

Fine Point Lending publishes educational content about small business financing. Our editorial policy exists to ensure that everything we publish is accurate, independent of lender influence, and useful to the business owners we serve.

Accuracy and sourcing

Every published article is reviewed for factual accuracy by a member of our funding advisory team. We cite primary sources — SBA program documentation, lender term sheets, and federal regulatory guidance — wherever possible.

Numerical claims (rate ranges, qualification thresholds, funding timelines) reflect current market conditions across our 75+ lender network at the time of publication and are reviewed quarterly.

Editorial independence

Our content is editorially independent of our lending partners. Lenders do not pay for coverage, do not influence article topics, and do not review articles before publication.

When we discuss a specific lender or product, we disclose the relationship if one exists. We do not accept payment, gifts, or other consideration in exchange for editorial placement.

Use of AI tools

We use AI tools to assist with research, drafting, and editing. Every article involving AI assistance is reviewed and edited by a human editor before publication. Final responsibility for accuracy and tone rests with our editorial team.

We do not publish AI-generated content as if it were written by a specific human author. Bylines reflect the human responsible for the final piece.

Corrections

If we make a factual error, we correct the article and add a dated correction note at the bottom. Significant corrections are also surfaced on our blog index for one week.

To report an error, email editorial@finepointlending.com.

Updates

Articles covering market conditions (rate ranges, lender appetites, qualification thresholds) are reviewed at least quarterly. Articles covering structural topics (how SBA loans work, factoring mechanics, etc.) are reviewed annually.

Updated articles display the most recent revision date prominently.
