Privacy Standards

Last updated: May 8, 2026

This page summarizes the standards that govern how we handle your information. For the full legal Privacy Policy, see /privacy.

What we collect

We collect information you provide on our application (business and personal identification, financial details), bank statements you upload, and credit report information from a soft pull.

We collect technical information (IP, device, browser, referring URL) for security, fraud prevention, and product improvement.

How we use it

Primary use: to match you with appropriate lending partners and shepherd your application through to funding.

Secondary uses: aggregate analytics, fraud prevention, regulatory compliance, and product improvement.

Sharing with lenders

We share your application information only with lending partners we believe are likely to approve and offer competitive terms — not with our entire network.

Each lender receiving your information is subject to its own privacy policy and data-handling obligations.

Retention

We retain application information for as long as needed to service your relationship with us and our lending partners, and to meet legal/regulatory record-keeping obligations.

Marketing data is retained until you unsubscribe or request deletion.

Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by emailing privacy@finepointlending.com. Some information must be retained to meet legal obligations.

California, Colorado, Virginia, Connecticut, and Utah residents have additional rights under state privacy laws — see /privacy for details.

Security

Information is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.2+) and at rest. Access is restricted to staff and contractors with a legitimate need. Bank credentials, when used for statement retrieval, are handled through tokenized aggregator integrations and never stored by Fine Point Lending in plain text.
